The small village of Lapse has been a beneficiary of the Nepalhilfe Beilngries for a long time. It was the second village after Kadambas where a school was built. Now the dilapidated water pipe in the village has been completely renewed with the financial support of the Nepalhilfe Beilngries.
There is enough water in Nepal, but access to it is often difficult and so it happens again and again that water pipes in villages need to be replaced and new water points built. We’ll take care of that too!
The Kubinde health post in the Chautara district was opened in 2021 and offers the local population a vast improvement in basic medical care.
The Red Cross Society of Kawasoti has been supported by Nepalhilfe since 2017. Initially with an ambulance and since 2019 with the establishment of a blood bank for the local hospital, including a blood donation vehicle.
For many years, the Beilngrieser Nepalhilfe has been supporting the poor pharmacy in the Bir Hospital in Kathmandu together with the DNHG Stuttgart, to enable the poorest to access the necessary medication.
The new SMH building was inaugurated on 15 March 2025 after a construction period of just 15 months in the presence of an SAHP delegation and the director, Shyam Dhaubadel. The fulfilment of a lifelong dream.
After almost two years of construction, the school in Tanjakot in Humla, in the far west of Nepal, was officially opened on 1 April 2024. 360 schoolchildren now have a new school in one of the most remote areas of Nepal.
Since the completion of the passive solar house in September 2023, the five-month school closures in the winter from November to March due to low temperatures of up to -25 degrees will be a thing of the past. Pupils will now be able to attend school for 10 months.
Construction work has been ongoing with interruptions since 2017 at the 100-bed hospital in the district of Navalpur, which has a catchment area of over 400,000 inhabitants.
