Siddhi Memorial Hospital Bhaktapur

The children’s and women’s hospital founded by Shyam Dhaubadel has been financially supported by NHB since 1999. EIt has become the most important point of contact for pregnant women and mothers with sick children in the entire region.

Step by step, it was enlarged and improved with our help, including of an operating theatre, a laboratory or an emergency room. A new three-storey building is currently being constructed on the site, which will include further functional rooms and patient rooms. When completed in 2025, the hospital will have 100 beds and also offer treatment and medicine to those who cannot afford it financially. The Nepalhilfe Beilngries has been covering these costs, as well as a large part of the current construction work, for many years.

On 15 March 2005, after a construction period of just 15 months, the building was officially handed over by Manfred Lindner and Shyam Dhaubadel. A milestone in the medical treatment of women and children. The SMH now enjoys an excellent reputation throughout Nepal, not just in Kathmandu. A great day for the medical care of all women and children.
