Balachandra Secondary School – second building inaugurated
Around 2 hours’ drive south-east of Kathmandu, the very impressive Ryale school was built in 2013 in just under 18 months. Due to the increasing number of pupils, the school will be extended by several rooms by 2025. Since 2021, the school’s 300 or so students have also had access to a computer room sponsored by NHB. Due to the increasing number of pupils, the school will be extended by several rooms by 2025. However, both the core school and the extension were affected by the flood in September 2024.
After the water has drained away and the damage has been repaired, cultivation can continue. It is to be inaugurated in March 2025 in the presence of a delegation from the NHB.
On 15/03/25, the time had come. The extension was officially handed over in a large opening ceremony in the presence of board member Manfred Lindner and other members of the NHB. The delegates were able to see for themselves the high quality of the work. A big step for the small school, whose number of students is constantly increasing.
