Deuter company donates an electric bus to the home for disabled people in Lhubu
.
Transportation to and from the day care centre in Lhubu is a major challenge for the parents of disabled children who are cared for there. Although most of them live only a few kilometres away, the journey there involves a great deal of effort and expense. This is why the desire to have our own vehicle arose early on, so that we could carry out transport independently. Initially, a minibus was rented with financial assistance from the NHB, but this incurred ongoing costs. With a request for support in purchasing a ‘school bus,’ president Manfred Lindner approached the management of Deuter, a company that has been supporting NHB for over 20 years. When he made this request, Deuter company immediately responded positively, and the ‘School Bus Project’ was able to get started at the beginning of 2025.
On 2 May 2025, the time had finally come. The new 11-seater electric school bus was officially handed over to the Day Care Centre by Michaela and Michael Rebele. The joy was immense, because now the disabled can be picked up and brought home several times a day, which is a huge help for the parents, as very few of them have a vehicle. A great think! Thank you Deuter Company for your support. Deuter!
