Our project coordinator Shyam Pandit called it a small but unique project for Nepalhilfe when he and Hari Adhikari, our new head of the Kathmandu office, inaugurated the house of the Dalit family in the small village of Falate in Sindhupalchok on 24 July 2020. In the presence of the mayor, the small house was officially handed over and can now be occupied by the family of eight. Their small house was severely damaged in the 2015 earthquake and was in danger of collapsing over time, which is why the family turned to Nepalhilfe. Their new home was built in eight months at a cost of around €5,000. They were overjoyed and expressed their gratitude to Nepalhilfe.
