The Shwet Ganesh School in the village of Panauti in the Kavre district is bucking the trend of declining pupil numbers. This naturally requires new classrooms and teachers. While the Nepalese government is sending teachers to the region, there are currently no plans to build new classrooms, which is an untenable situation for the children, who are currently still sitting in classrooms with up to 45 pupils.

The municipality of Panauti has therefore decided to submit an application to the NHB for the construction of a new school building. As the situation appeared to be very urgent when our representatives visited the site, it has now been decided to construct a new building with eight classrooms.
