The small school in the village of Irkhu near Kadambas was newly built by NHB in 2001. Due to the growing number of pupils, the school had to be expanded by six classrooms as early as 2010. The school was badly damaged in the 2015 earthquake but was extensively renovated. The next construction project, an extension, was due in 2019 and completed in 2022. Now almost 500 pupils can attend the once small village school.
